iOS 6.0.2 review: Should you update to iOS 6.0.2?

Apple rolled out iOS 6.0.2 update for iPhone 5 and iPad mini. This is a second minor update to iOS 6 which aimed at fixing Wi-Fi issues which were persistent even after iOS 6.0.1 update. This update was brought ahead of iOS 6.1 which would be first major update after the launch of iOS 6. Rolling out of iOS 6.0.2 update was a bit of surprise because everyone was expecting the next update to be that of iOS 6.1, but with this minor update Apple has pushed iOS 6.1 update further to January or February 2013 (expected).

iPhone 5 users have been having some issues with Wi-Fi since its launch, so i think Apple wanted to solve them by the earliest.

The update has surely solved my Wi-Fi issue of not holding the signal, since i have updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 6.0.2, i have seen excellent signal strength and great speed which i was expecting.

Few people had reported random reboots with their iPhone 5 prior to iOS 6.0.2. Updating to the latest version of iOS has seemed to fix that issue as well.

Some people have been experiencing battery drain issue after updating to iOS 6.0.2, where battery drained even when phone was not in use. In my case i did not find any such issue with battery life.

People who are facing this issue will unfortunately have to wait for iOS 6.1 update to fix this issue.

People who are experiencing issues with their Wi-Fi can go ahead and update to iOS 6.0.2 to resolve their issues. Others could also update because in my use and tests i have not found any sign of reduced battery life and any other issue, Or you could wait for next major update iOS 6.1 which could be coming in January or February 2013.

Please feel free and post in comments your experience of updating to iOS 6.0.2.
