A teaser post on Xiaomi India’s Facebook page shows two other devices showing a question mark alongside Mi3. The message also says ‘Bundle of surprises with Mi’, which clearly suggests two more Xiaomi devices are making their debut in Indian market with the flagship smartphone Mi3.
It is possible that the two new devices could possibly be the Redmi 1S and Redmi Note as earlier this month we saw the images of these two phones on Xiaomi India’s Facebook page.
Redmi 1S has a 4.7-inch 720p IPS display. It is powered by a 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM, it also packs in 8GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot. Redmi 1S has a 2000mAh battery and runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Xiaomi’s MIUI layer on top. It has an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
Redmi Note is a large 5.5-inch phablet with 720p IPS display. This device is powered by a 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor. Some other specs include 8GB onboard storage, microSD card slot to support up to 32GB cards, 13MP rear camera with LED flash, 5MP front-facing camera and a 3100mAh battery. It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Xiaomi’s MIUI layer on top.
Update : The Redmi 1S has been priced at Rs. 6,999, while the Redmi Note has been priced at Rs. 9,999. The Redmi 1S is scheduled for an early August arrival, and Redmi Note will make a late August entry into the Indian market.
