Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has officially entered the Indian market and it plans to make big entrance with its flagship phone Mi3.This smartphone comes with an aggressive price of Rs.14,999 and will be available from 15th July 2014. Xiaomi is expected to sell this smartphone through Flipkart.
The Mi3 has a 5-inch 1080p display, 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory (64GB variant launching later). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, both capable of shooting 1080p videos. A massive 3,050mAh battery backs this impressive smartphone.
In terms of design, the smartphone ismade of aluminum-magnesium alloy, weighs 145gram and is 8.1mm thick.
It runs on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, but the crucial bit is that it has Xiaomi’s MiUI running on top, which offers a springboard of apps and widgets. Mi3 will come with Xiaomi’s Mi Cloud service, which will allow users to save and access their contacts, messages, photos, notes and call logs online. They will also be able to back up apps in the cloud and locate the handset online in case it is lost.
